When you visit Wimmera Health Care Group’s hospital campus or Arapiles building, you won’t have to find the reception desk. The moment you step through the door, there will be a welcome officer to greet you.

You will be required to stand the appropriate distance away and answer a few brief questions so you can be guided safely to the right area. It is also possible that you could be empathically guided back out the door again because of the strict limits we have on visiting.

The current rules are:

Main hospital entrance: visiting hours are between 5-7pm and only one nominated person is allowed per patient during this time. Children under 16 are not allowed to visit but can attend Radiology appointments.

Wyuna is closed to all visitors.

Arapiles: Only people (including children) with allied health or dental appointments are permitted to enter. Those needing supervision can be accompanied by one adult.

Our aged care facilities are closed to all visitors including all family members until further notice.

Wimmera Cancer Centre is open to patients with appointments only. No visitors are allowed to enter.

These rules are difficult for families and loved ones but they are necessary to provide the best possible protection for our patients, residents and team members. Verbal abuse or any form of aggression toward our team members will not be tolerated at all.

We only get one chance to get this right.

Stay safe, stay home and wash your hands regularly and thoroughly.
