The long running ArtRageous art group will have an exhibition at Redrock Books and Gallery in Horsham from October 8 - 22, 2016.

The art sessions, co-ordinated by Mark Hawkins from Wimmera Health Care Group’s Community Options have run for 10 years and provide a supportive and encouraging environment for young participants with a disability to expand their expressive potential in visual art.

The sessions are facilitated by artist Anthony Pelchen.

"Over the years there has been an incredibly rich mix of imaginative and free work emerging from the sessions," Mr Pelchen said.

"The artistic forms include drawing, painting, sculpture and printmaking, often with many mediums used all at once.

"Every individual comes with a unique set of tendencies and reserves in terms of how they want to filter the everyday and imagination into something visual."

The official exhibition opening is on Tuesday, October 11 and the bookshop/gallery is open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, Saturday 9.30am-12.30pm.

This exhibition called ‘New possibilities for seeing’, includes painting, drawing and sculpture.

"There is a rich mix of ideas expressed in a myriad of ways," Mr Pelchen said

"Come and see the World’s Best Asteroid in clay, painted discarded wood Spotted Highway, gestural paintings and so much more."
