Service Description / Overview

The Anticoagulation Service at the Wimmera Health Care Group is available to people taking Warfarin, or other oral anticoagulant (blood thinning) medication.

The service is staffed by a registered nurse.

The Anticoagulation Service operates in the consulting rooms of the Arapiles Building. An appointment is required and can be made by phoning 5381 9333.

This is a free service.

Area Serviced

Horsham and West Wimmera region. Patients from other areas can access the service if able to travel to Horsham.

Eligibility

Any person currently taking Warfarin. People can self-refer or be referred by their doctor, health professional or a family member.
