Wimmera Health Care Group is very excited to welcome Jossi Paul as their new drug and alcohol co-ordinator.
Ms Paul has a lot of experience in the field, having worked for seven years as a drug and alcohol co-ordinator for Grampians Community Health.
Ms Paul said her role involves helping people with referrals for treatment, counselling or other forms of support.
“Most of the people I am working with come through our Emergency Department, so I work closely with the team down there,” Ms Paul said.
“The main thing is people need to know I am here and in this role because I can only support them if they ask for support.
“There are lots of options for people and my job is to know about them and to help them get access to them. It is an important role in the community.”
Ms Paul can help support people who are at risk of developing alcohol or drug issues, are using drugs or alcohol or are impacted by someone else’s use.
