Donating to Rachael’s Wish is now just a click away. Wimmera Cancer Centre Fundraising Sub-Committee chairperson Amelia Crafter said a ‘donate now’ link is on the Rachael’s Wish Facebook page and the Wimmera Health Care Group website.
Mrs Crafter said Rachael’s Wish is the name of the fundraising appeal for the Wimmera Cancer Centre and is named after local cancer survivor Rachael Littore who publicly expressed her wish for a new centre to be built. “We have received a lot of support on the Rachael’s Wish Facebook page and had 1000 likes in 8 days,” Mrs Crafter said. “We plan to use this page to help keep people updated on how the fundraising campaign is going. “Now we have made it really easy for people to donate through the page as well, there is a ‘donate now’ button which sends people through to a Paypal setup where they can donate, it is that easy. “Donations from community members to the funding of this project are vitally important and we really appreciate every dollar received and we wanted to make it a simple process for people to donate.” Anyone interested in making a contribution to the project not through the online option can do so by contacting the hospital on 5381 9209 or dropping their donation into the main hospital reception. All donations are tax deductible.
