The Speech Pathology Department at Wimmera Health Care Group comprises of a team of six Speech Pathologists. We focus on the needs of our clients in order to improve and maintain the quality of life for all individuals with communication and swallowing difficulties.
Provide assessment, intervention and management for people who have communication difficulties such as speaking, speech sounds, language, fluency (stuttering) and voice. We also assist people with difficulties swallowing food and drink.
The Speech Pathology Department provides individual one-one and group therapy programs.
Our services are provided across WHCG (Horsham and Dimboola campuses) acute and sub-acute service, community health services and aged care services.
8.00am – 4:30pm, Mon - Fri.
All Speech Pathology referrals should be directed to our Allied Health Intake Worker 03 5381 9333. Referrals can be completed by anyone, including self-referral and caregivers.
Please be aware that there are waiting times for assessments and for ongoing therapy programs.
Community Health Fees apply.
Wimmera region (Including Horsham and Dimboola Campuses).
Who We Can See
- Children who are not yet attending school
- Adults (18+) living in the Wimmera region
- Inpatients within Wimmera Health Care Group
- Community clients who not currently accessing or deemed eligible for other services which are funded to provide speech pathology support e.g Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI), NDIS.
